Hi.

I have 2 electric bikes, one a conversion kit and one i have just bought for cheap off someone i know.
The problem with this new one is, when i charge the battery up and put it on the bike, the led is flashing and saying there is no charge?
But when i put the battery i just tested onto my conversion kit, it is saying it is charged?
When i put the battery off my conversion kit onto the new bike, it powers on for a few seconds then goes off, but with both batteries, the led's are indicating theres no charge?
But both, batteries work on my conversion kit?

Hope i have explained well enough.

Thanks.

Where are the LED,s if they are on the controller/display then it's a bike issue, either the controller/display or wiring harness has a fault.
If they are on the batteries then a short somewhere is pulling the voltage down but I would expect that to cause smoke quite quickly.
But good start to fault finding.

Hi thanks for the reply.
I mean the batterys level on the display on my new bike is saying there is no charge in the batteries, but when i put the batteries on my older conversion kit bike, the controller is indicating that the batteries are fully charged?
Both controllers are the same model bit different fitting with the wires so i can't change them round to test them.

Then the fault is display, or controller. D8veh knows the details about them if no one else beats him to it.

Its impossible to say unless you tell us what you've got. A wild guess says that they're different voltage bikes.

hi d8veh.
I am replying to a thread i made a while ago but i still have the same issue this time some scroate has robbed my brand new pcx 125 scooter only 8 months old so now i need to get the same issue as at the start of this thread answered if possible?

I put the battery on the tail battery holder and it is still saying the battery has no power?
I push the accelorater right down it fully powers up then the battery indicator on the the led screen flash as if to say no battery??
I need this bike for work or i will be out of a job not good

Take and post pics of any labelling/info on the 2 batteries and the 2 controller boxes ( not the lcd or led display).
Also with a DVM measure the batteries voltage output when fully charged.

If you have still got 2 bikes and one works at least that will get you to work for now won't it ?

Paul, do you know the difference between 48v and 36v?

We can't help you if you don't answer the questions.

He not understandy vouz  !!!

Lcd/led panel is not a controller it is a handlebar display, the controller is remotely located and is where the battery and drive motor wires connect to a pcb.
A part from a Cyclotricity logo no indication of battery voltage / labelling and any controller details. Still no talk of charged battery output reading with DVM.
One of the pics shows a dinner plate in the rear wheel 36 or 48v ?
