I'd love to see all of @peter.c 's previous builds on a thread somwhere. I'm almost inspired to learn steel welding.

New plan this is the blue print
From your description, I had a feeling it'd be a Treego-like front arrangement, as I recall you selling one a year or two ago. Looks a tricky construction. The last steel things I welded together was while making a junior hacksaw in school, many many moons ago - I still use it practically every day... the weld held. It has a blade tensioning screw, which I made too.

woken the sleeping giant
You sir have jostled a dozy minnow! I am now inspired to learn steel welding at any reasonable cost (under £20), using all of the resources I already have (about 12 butane gas cans) to convert a Homcom bike trailer to a fully enclosed tri wheeled e-car with rear single wheel steering, legally classed as a pedelec beause it'll have pedals and use a 250W rear hub... unless of course it's a terrible idea and everyone tells me so (it is, of course a terrible idea, so I won't do it - still, steel welding would be a useful skill to have, and one I'm envious of in others).

This must have steered very straight? What was it like to ride? Do you keep them all or sell them on?

One project at a time once i get the itch they have to go
the fat two front wheeler lifted one wheel up in a corner and it chirped -squealed when it dropped back
The prototype will bolt together first then welded later

Both front wheels built and tyres fitted 160mm discs 4 speed sturmey archer disc hub ordered
Is that orange inner tube showing through holes in the rim, or orange sections of plastic stuck on? Too many rims are completely jet stealth black, it's nice to see some hi-viz.

How are you going to add a rear brake? And what type?

Thats 3m hi vis tape and layers of black gorilla tape in place of rim tape as i might want to go tubeless will fill with goop to increase puncture protection
New rear 4 speed sturmy archer hub with 6 bolt disc mount on order will haveto rebuild the back wheel add disc mounts will have to adapt the frame

 just had a go at the wheel build existing spokes are too long  cannot find a calculation tool that lists the 480mm rim:confused: the hub is 81mm between holes, my brain cannot fathom the maths tonight
