New bike ..first ride

Hopefully better luck this time.
Out for first time yesterday on new bike, nice mix of clay mud, rocky climb, hills and muddy bridleway ... Loved it.. No sense of humour failure even when he who was leading took a (uphill) detour on the way home! I didn't hold him up and he was pleased not to have to stand around waiting for me to push up the hills .. he did say it was a bit disconcerting (and very unusual) to have me right behind him most of the time!
I took it easy yesterday as not been out properly for almost a year ... Had stopped feeling the love even tho my Cube Fritzz is awesome ... But now sadly redundant lol

Did you get a good discount for it having no pedals? I, for one, was surprised to learn that 'high end', costly new bikes have no pedals.

Got some temporary Nukeproofs for the time being ... Dealer ordering some DMR's in. Yes, it's surprising, given the cost of these bikes but none we've bought (and we've10 between us!) have had pedals, not even my sons extortionately priced downhill Scott. Usually manage to sweet talk the dealer into fitting some tho
