Some very exotic military flying machines around the skies of Swindon Just lately. These aircraft are taking part in the "Baltops and Saber Strike 2014 exercises" (yeah right!)

Seen recently:

3 X B-52 Stratofortress
2 X B-2 Stealth bombers
1 X U2 "Spy plane"

Where Ukraine is concerned, both are just posturing. Nothing's going to happen there.

Could be the US getting strategically ready for a spot of judicious action in Iraq if it becomes necessary. It's politically insensitive to carry out strikes in the area from their bases in Saudi Arabia, you may remember the 1986 US bombing of Gaddafi's Libya which was launched from Britain.
