I have been getting great help on this site so could anyone tell me what these screws do on back wheel hub
this is my bike below its just called a Phillips. thats all the info I have on bike




These are the 2 screws i am referring to on back wheel hub

The two adjusters are to get an even tension arround the band. I've never seen an instruction on how to adjust them, but looking at the construction, I'd say that, for each adjuster, you undo the lock-nut, screw in the adjuster until you can just feel the brake binding, then turn it back 1/4 turn and hold it there while you re-tighten the locknut. You then use the cable adjuster to take any slack out of the cable so that the brake operates after a small movement of the lever

Oh so its to do with the brakes. that is great news at least now i know. i will do as you said. to check the brakes as it does squeal a bit
