have an ncm C5.
does anyone know how to derestrict the controller so I can go a bit more than 25kmh?

Bikes like this very often have controllers where the suppliers have specified the firmware that the controller manufacturer should supply. In other words, it's probably locked especially if it's sold into a country where the 25Kmh assist limit is law.
