Welcom to the forum Dawn.

Follow the wire from the brake. It will find it's way to the controller, which is normally a rectangular aluminium box. About two inches from the box will be a connector that you can unplug. Let us know how you get on.

We hope to hear more from you in the future, which will hopefully not be reports of problems.

Hi Dawn, Welcome to Pedelecs.

It states on the Nano site that they only have one brake sensor fitted to the left hand brake lever and that they don't change the original Brompton levers, so they must fit an inline switch somewhere on the brake cable. It could be attached at either end of the cable or the mid point.
It will have a cable coming from it which will go to the bag and should have a connector which you can carefully pull apart to disconnect it.
We haven't seen any photos of the new MK2 Nano version, it would be great if you could post some here.

Looks to me as if the in-line switch is part of the bit that's bolted to the underside of the lever.

The cable goes straight to the little controller box which is fixed to the cross bar, next to the head tube.

I would pull mine to bits, but I'm not confident the controller fixing could be remade.

The magnet is located on the lever , held by a heavy sort of shrink wrap, the sensor goes to a little box ( that incidentally gets in the way during the fold) but I can't get it open :/

The little box is the controller.

It should not get in the way of the fold, mine doesn't.

I wonder if the magnet has fallen off?

Another thought.

Shemozzle's pic and probably the OP's bike has the new Brompton brake levers which are cantilevered a bit differently.

They are much better than the old ones I have, but I wonder if they don't work so well with a cut out.

Pure speculation on my part, I don't pretend to have any technical expertise.

the magnet is intact but keeps slipping within the shrink wrap, the box has always got in the way, it comes un clipped from its secure place and gets in the way a bit
