I have had the above bike for some Months now. I have had some great rides out on it. The distance my battery goes compared to other bikes I have had is nothing short of brilliant. I know some complain about Kalkhoff's but can we hear from the people who love theirs. I am going to start a new web site for Kalkhoff owners who are happy. Hope to hear from you soon. I suppose I know who the first three will say but lets hear from some of the other 400,000 purchasers. Ride safely and always wear a helmet.

With a reply like the one you gave on another thread (see below your comment) I don't think you will get a lot of support tbh.."........

A load of pensioners complaining! I have pushed my bike hard for high milage with no problems. Enjoy your bike and don't worry. I was leaving this site but had messages of support to stay. Don't let them put you off. They clack in their sleep as well. I am on a 40 mile ride this weekend. If I clack it will be the curry I had the night before. Why would I get get messages of support? 400,000 + sold 20 complain. Get over it it is a bike not a spacecraft.........

You mean like a website with some forum dedicated only to happy Kalkhoff customers? I though the "selected" reviews on the 50 Cycles website was already doing that?

How will you restrict its membership to only happy customers (and prevent some of them joining and doing a "Farage")? Will it be censored? Will good grammar and spelling be requirements to join?

How will you ensure that only actual Kalkhoff owners are joining? Checks on serial numbers?

Why not just use this forum to post happy stories? Why do you feel there is a need for another website (that you fully control)?

Why do you think you will be able to use the Kalkhoff name (unless you are somehow related, of course)?

So many questions, so few answers...

Nigel / Dinger...you are both 57 / 58, when I was in my mid 60s I rode an old unpowered mountain bike and thought nothing about riding 45/50 miles in a day....easy peasy no bother.
Now I'm in my mid 70s things are a bit harder and doing 20 miles on my powered Tasman impulse 8 is a lot harder.

Scott, I'm delighted with my Kalkhoff it's a 2008 Panasonic powered model.

Wouldn't touch the bikes you are selling today because they are sh!te. You should read about all the problems people are having with them. Did you know that the motors keep failing? Some owners are on their third motor in two years. Imagine that!

I'm not a pensioner and I don't clack.

Good luck with your web site.

I got 14 private messages from people having issues. Thanks.
I f it wasn't for the fact that the impulse motor is perceived unreliable , then maybe I would join the Kalkhoff 'happy as Larry' group.. but I reckon that many Impulse owners regret the day they acted on impulse and bought these infernal motored bikes.

I certainly wouldn't rush into getting another Kalkhoff, after experiencing 50 cycles vision of customer service, so may be Kalkhoff should have done the honest thing and admitted the design faults and did a product recall, any other major company would have.
I write this because I am a victim of deception, the demo bike I bought was nearly 2 yrs old when I bought it,sold as seen with remaining warranty ,now mid 2016 ,and beginning to get weird noises from the motor, I will not get redress from 50 cycles, even though, it hasn't had a hard life in my ownership ,it certainly won't be worth spending £600 on a new motor.

The bike is a C11 agattu impulse Premium ( a,ha,ha,ha!).
So nigel01 there are a lot of unhappy owners out there who cancel out the happy ones.

By the way ,I drive a Skoda, look how that company turned it's fortunes around, maybe just maybe Kalkhoff could do the same!

For one who has only recently joined the forum, Scott, sorry I mean Nigel, seems to be in possession of a lot of Kalkhoff sales and motor failure rate data.

Do let us know about all the activities that you and your fellow 'Kalkhoff Club' members get up to, Nigel01. We'd love to see some pictures, too.

And of course, be sure to point us in the direction of the web site, once it is finished. Can't wait to have a look on your forum, which I'm sure will be buzzing with enthusiasm!
