I've responded re: Sustain and
Synergie bikes in your other thread.
That folding model from them is one of the few low price ones using a modern lithium battery, many still with heavy lead acid types. We don't know how good the small battery is yet, an important point since some lithium batteries have been very short lived.
Powacycle also do low cost folding electric bikes, but just a bit outside your price band. Of their two I'd recommend the 20" wheel model, since the folding 16" wheel low cost bikes are invariably very slow and with inadequate rider gears. Their models use advanced lithium polymer batteries which seem to be performing well to date, although again the ultimate life isn't known as these lithium batteries haven't been on e-bikes very long.
One of their models is also marketed by Wisper bikes.
Beware of the very cheap e-folders with SLA (lead-acid) batteries as they are invariably very heavy, slow, and not good to pedal.
