Hi there! I just bought the Volta VB2.
It has a 250w motor and a 48v battery, which is great cuz of the regulations here in Sweden.
My only regret now afterwards is getting a fatbike with a 250w motor, cuz it's top speed is too slow. I've owned 2 other bikes with 250w motors 1 MTB and 1 step-in, those where great cuz you could just edit the topspeed in the menu and then your bike travels at 32kph.
However the 250w fatbike is probably too heavy and has too much resistance to go faster then 25-27kph on a fully charged battery. So my guess here is that the best way to increase the top speed is by buying either a bigger motor or a extra motor. I would really like to stay inside of what the regulations allow so my thoughts now is leaning towards an extra 250w motor (and maybe an additional battery).
I've looked around and found that some people build a 2wd with a rear and front hub motor, which looks cool, but what about adding a mid drive motor instead? Have anyone ever tried that? So basicly the setup would be no trottle, a rear hub motor and a mid drive motor.
Any thoughts? My only mission is to get the bike to run in around 30-35 kph instead of 23-27 as it now is. I'm already pleased with the acceleration.
Thanks!
