My first powered bike was an NSU Quickly Mike.

The very first powered bike I owned at the tender age of seventeen was a suzuki sportsman 50cc a start of a long love affair with motorcycles.

Well if we are all coming out.....

My first was a Lambretta series 2 TV175 lol, currently have a Fazer 600 sitting in the garage for the past 5 years on SORN, not ridden because the roads up here are too good and I can't be trusted... Counter steering is a life choice

Strangely, the NSU came after a 250 (BSA C10L), 350 BSA B32, 197 James and a few others.
But I preferred it for its light weight, comparative silence and general reliability.
After all, the lights worked! Not the usual British choice of :-Dim, flicker and off.
Notice how much longer the wheel base of the NSU is compared to the Tonaro.

Crikey, to pick a favourite is a challenge.

My first foray into motoring started at age 7. My best mate and I saved up and purchased a Norman Nippy 2 speed moped for £3. We ragged it round a field at his Dad's farm. On the third lap I low sided into the hedge and burnt my leg on the exhaust pipe. I've been hooked on motorcycles ever since that day.

Favourites, all of them really, but over more recent years I would have to pick these two:

I've lost count of the number of bikes I've owned and loved over the years, but the ones I currently own must be the best as I got rid of all the others...

Wot the Lambretta ? .. lol that met its maker in about 1967 (still it did see England win the world cup in 1966) the Fazer however had a look at two years ago when I thought about fitting a new battery but came to my senses and didnt

If I'm only allowed to choose two, then it would be these.

My old 3AK TZ250 race bike

And my old Honda RS250 race bike. Both happy and very very sad days.

There are many more equally as nice bikes that I have owned and ridden, but the RS has to be the best of the lot.

Our current bikes are always the best ones..... until the next one we buy.

But I do have fond memories of my first road legal bike, a purple Yamaha FS1E, or the Fizzy as they were known as. No pics of it sadly.

But i'm still riding Yamaha's.....

Thanks for that. :)

Here are a couple that Iain85 might well remember.

I didn't know that Iain used this forum, but we raced against each other, and then sadly lost touch with each other. Iain was a very fast lad, and wooped my backside big time. We both raced with Bemsee, and Iain if I can find them, I think that I have some photos somewhere that will show the whole pack, and even one with me actually in front of you!!!!!
