Anyone done it? I've applied for a post that's better pay than my current role and less responsibility. I'm looking for advise for the transition should it actually happen. Totally off topic I know but I'd be bringing my bike lol. Living costs seem similar. The job is forklift operator for Schiphol airport. My current role is warehouse supervisor and I dispise it. Local jobs are **** pay. Worth it?

Sounds good to me. Living in Amsterdam or somewhere near by like Haarlem where I have spent a little time and ridden a dutch bike into Amsterdam on their fantastic bike infrastructure was great fun.
Do it. Any opportunity is worth it. Roll the dice. It’s not like you can’t come back.
And the Dutch are a great people. You have nothing to lose.

My cousin lived in the Netherlands for 10 years with 2 kids and a husband. After 10 years she packed up and left and came back.
She was constantly complaining about everything during her stay, we aren't very close and I never asked in detail but she was clearly not happy.
