Hi all

my E bike to day ( rear hub 250 watt 3 volt) decided it would not longer propell the back wheel , however i can hear the motor spinning in the hub and it seems to spin at an RPM in line with how i am using the twist grip or assist mode ,so iassume there is some kind off gear problem

i wonder if anyone knew of a good video / resource to help me fix the problem ?

CHeers

in advance

Hi sensors all good the motor spins as it should , the problem is the gear doesn't engage to the wheel / no bite
I'm gonna strip it down today having read the interweb I'm guessing the Woodruff key has sheared , I recall the panier getting trappped and jamming wheel last month could make sense

It is possible the nylon planetary gears have been stripped or damaged.

Hi I've just checked and they are seemingly fine and no sign of plastic in the hub from wear
Update video

Cheers for the tip . Are they a centrifugal clutch or something ,I wonder if my old motor will donate parts imagine nthat miracle Lol

It's a sprag clutch, so spring loaded rollers and ramps. You can strip them by grinding down the rivets, but then they need welding back together.

They are available for some motors, contact CSC first if they supplied it, they are most likely to have spares. I doubt if BMS will be any help, they are not known for good CS.
