are you talking about the clamp for the Hamax child seat that goes on the seat post? If you are, it took me 10 minutes to fit the Hamax seat on the Santana. I am yes, the ones I've seen normally only fit a round tube, good to see the Hamax can deal with the wires section on your bikes.

Depends on the motor size, bike and discipline it is to be used for, you will get arguments all day long but none are better then the other . Just a case of right motor for the use and circumstances.

I'm all for a small front motor in nice steel forks esp if your terrain in the most is fairly flat with some small 5 - 10% inclines. My main day to day bike utilises one such motor.
For my cargo bike I have a TS mid drive kit for towing heavier loads.
In the past I have had a few rear motors and still have three built up in wheels

All three types of motors work and do the job well it depends on the users capabilities and needs , a competent person should be able to fit any of them with a few tools and bit of mechanical knowhow.

Generally:
1. If you have hub gears, it has to be a front or middle motor
2. If you want to do serious off-road stuff, it has to be a middle motor.
3. A front motor is best avoided unless you have steel forks or non-suspension aluminium ones with very strong drop-outs.
4. Rear motor is best when you use the bike for all-round transport, long journeys or commuting.

Don't choose based on how easy to install it is. the time difference between them isn't massive, but you should get years of enjoyment afterwards if you choose the motor that most suits your riding needs.
