Motor Hall Sensors

Does anyone have any experience of replacing motor Hall sensors? I think I might have blown one or two in my motor. Is there any way to test whether a Hall sensor is functioning without having to take the motor apart?

Quite easy if you can get at the controller hall wire connectors ok, if not and have Julet you will have to open the controller and probe direct of the pcb/hall locations.
