Hello all!

I built my bike about 4 weeks ago and everything was going well so far.

I used this kit (the 48v 1500w model): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003495298236.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.2f351802lhgfzN

However, the motor has decided it now wants to go backwards! I presumed it could have been a problem with the throttle wiring as I'd recently changed to a thumb throttle, so I wired the grip throttle back on but it still has the same problem. I checked the PAS, so I put it into PAS only mode, and it still has the same problem.

It was all working fine and then one day, it decided to go in reverse!

Is there something silly I'm missing here? Images attached, video below

Brushless DC motors are electrically very similar to 3 Phase AC motors. Swapping any two field leads with each other, will reverse the rotation.
Also, if it has Hall effect sensors, swapping them can do the same I believe.
Sadly, it appears from infos from others here on Pedelec, that the combination of phases and Hall effects can get alarmingly complicated in some instances, and need special diagrams to be able to sort it all out!
I also believe that a badly setup PAS sensor may change things around, maybe someone here can confirm or deny that though!
My thoughts are that if it did work, you probably had it right. And that you appear to have not got the wiring back to its original setup, after removing the throttle.
Sadly, no guarantees that I am 100% correct in your particular case....
