If your intent on removing it I think you may need to use the type of removal tools referred to in reply #81 or carefully levered off as in the video in your reply #73. I would guess its just stuck, grime, rust, muck, some persuasion probably needed. My old SWX02 clutch just slid of as in that video no help to you I know.
I removed the clutch and you were correct about the link you sent. I tried again to order it but I don't think they want my money. They might answer sometime. The dealer I bought the bike from have said they can provide a wheel and motor for £400.

Someone on another bike forum has given me details about Yose. They can do a deal for around £200 but it means replacing most of the related components. My controller is slightly different in regards to power out put. Yose controller is rated current 9a max current 18a low rated voltage 31.5.

Would it be possible just to use the new wheel and motor without changing anything else. Or am I going to burst into flames going down Camden rd.

If the motor connector is the std 9 pin Julet moulded type then one generally can use any motor without the need to change anything else.

I have used Bafang's , Yose , Mxus & AKM hubs by just swapping motors out. I do though with the KT have to change P1 parameter to suit the AKM hub.

That's encouraging and as it's a Yose set up I'm going to assume it's 9 pin Julet. This is looking like the route I'll be going down.

The Yose is a std 9 pin connector , I was more thinking about the one on your bike.
If it is also 9 pin then it will be compatible .

A new hub won't solve the issue if the fault is else where.

All things point to the hub, I had had a good look at the planetary gears. My motor is a Shengyi and there are bits coming out of the ring bearings. You will notice where cover is lifted, underneath it pieces were missing and some were sticking when to the ring cover off when I lifted it off.

is this it.......

For anybody looking for this and any other parts that are not easily found. This site looks like the place to go. They have replied to me and I'm now waiting to move forward in the ordering process. I would say ignore the red click for ordering and go to the contact us click at the top of the page.

My thanks to esuark for posting this site on here. In general for any that have a Shengyi motor. Have a look at the link.

hope it`s the bit you need and at a decent price regards........the wonder of google.......
They have got back to me with full costs, but I've been asked to pay into the person's I'm dealing with personal account. Prices are in USD $18 for interests sake. That's for the part $75 for post. Perhaps there might be import taxes to pay.
The site says minimum order is two, but it seems I can just get one. Questions, is it dodgy or do I go for it and hope for the best. Also should I get two parts. The original has lasted nearly eight years. At my age nothing is guaranteed.

Oddly enough the bike went to the hospital with a couple of misses, but came back with none. I can't rely on it, so a choice has got to be made.

I doubt $93 will be the final cost.. but pay with paypal (not fnf) or a CC you can contest, and keep watch of the time outs..

Fwiw thanks to diligent customs declaration completion by US sellers when buying diy brew equipment from US stockists i always had additional handling and vat charges to pay on the doorstep.

And in biting that cost bullet, your admitting its a passion project and no loner a cost cutting diy fix. - a new hub inc pnp is probably cheaper

It's actually coming from China, if I do go ahead I'll probably use my bank, as I looked at paypal and I can't make any sense of it.

Getting a new hub is problematic. The best option is a Yose kit with a wheel . I don't want to be messing about with spokes. My original wheel is a good one, in that it bears my 98k and sometimes my shopping that can be as heavy as 17k. It's the postage that is the problem, but what can you do.
