Has anyone experience of Moskino machines or the the Electric Bike Co . that handles them ? I noticed some postings about them a year ago and then nothing . A year is a long time in the E bike world and testing is invited in Ashford and Bristol . For people on a budget there doesn`t seem too much available starting at £599 and £699 , if asked I normally mention Juicy Bike . My own machine is a Batribike and they seem to be edging up in price since I purchased it in September last year . The Moskino Importer mentions Bristol in his blurb , but is coy about his address , perhaps he is worried that he may have a queue forming around the block ?
Sorry Bob of Juicy Bike if you are offended by the budget reference , but you ought to be pleased !

I looked at these bikes when I was considering what to buy last year...I never actually rode one but I exchanged emails with a business in Bristol and they were very helpful. I think it was a small business operating from a residential address as I recall. The bikes are actually manufactured for an Italian company who owns the Moskino brand, but they have an dealer in the UK too.

They were being sold on eBay and had all positive comments in feedback. Seemed like a reasonable low-budget choice to me, bearing in mind they are clones of Wisper bikes and imported from China. One other thing is that batteries and spare parts were readily available cheaply as I recall. The only thing which put me off was that the guy in Bristol was at the time advertising only a 6 month warranty, but when I questioned him about this he said he would change it to 12 months.

For about the same money you could get a Sunlova (rebanded now I believe) folding bike of similar spec which have had some positive reviews on here.

Thanks for the information morphix , he must be expanding, as two addresses to test these machines are listed on his site , one at Ashford the other in Bristol . The setup must be similar to Batribike , designed in Germany , manufactured in China , for Germany read Italy in this case . Looking at the Italian site they seem to be following the trend with an updated model with a prefix New of repositioning the battery from the saddle tube to the carrier . People often ask the price of Ebikes and when told that most are over £1000 lose interest . I think that £799 sounds reasonable but over £800 does not !

Yes you're right the cost of some bikes is a little off-putting for many, the thought of spending over £800 on something...the main cost is usually the battery, with many bikes having 14Ah, that can easily cost several hundred pounds by itself. So I think £600-£700 is a reasonable price with an 8Ah/10Ah, and probably great value if it's 14Ah.. the build quality of these budget bikes may lack the finesse and higher spec parts of big brand bikes, but should be perfectly reliable.

I actually ordered a £1,000 clone of a Wisper bike (also being sold on eBay) which had 14Ah battery and found it a perfectly fine bike but just not quite what I was after so I sent it back after trying it out.

I ending building my own low budget bike using a decent kit and the total cost was just under £500 with 2 x 5Ah batteries (10ah), so these bikes ready-made are definitely good value if you don't fancy DIY.
