After four weeks of smooth running -12 trips and 12 charges - I've got more problems with my 48v LiFePo4 pack from BMS after replacing a cell that was dead-on-arrival.
On Thursday it low voltage cut out a few miles from home and on Friday it did the same. I put it on a timed charge on Friday night and then last night while I was fiddling around in the garage thought to check the battery voltage - 49 volts... should be 58.4 fully charged.
I wondered if I'd forgotten to charge it on Friday night so put it back on charge. A couple of miles into my journey this morning it cut out again. I've plugged the charger in and after 5 mins it went green to indicate it's charged.
Wonder if a second cell has died, in addition to the one that was dead on arrival which I replaced. Or maybe the BMS hasn't been properly balancing the charge so one cell is under voltage... Why can't it just.... y'know, work!
Not a happy bunny. Again!
