Just looking for some ideas given the experience on this forum.

My KTM has end bars fitted and I want to fit a mirror on the right hand side. Anybody got any ideas how I can do this please? thanks, Dave

I also have barends fitted but I still have access to the inside of the bars.
I fitted a zefal cyclop barend mirror with the first part of the bracket pointing down like this.

Whilst riding it doesn't get in the way of my hand at all, when I put my bike away the mirror folds neatly under the handlebar grip.
Simples

Some bar ends don't allow access to the, er, end of the bar.

The Ergon grips on the Rose are like that - you can't remove the bar end without also removing the grip, which means a bar end mirror won't fit.

I've not come across a solution.

Gents, thanks, appreciated, my KTM has the Ergons as mentioned which neatly utilises and closes off the bar ends, so, I am limited.
Col, that looks an interesting solution, I am not sure if my leg would be in the way in the position that the mirror is in? I will investigate further, I have also seen a couple that connect to the helmet, anybody tried those? thanks all.....Dave

Hi Col, looked a bit further into this and it does get mixed reviews with a number of people being able to utilise it to the best by careful use of the leg and pedal position when you need to use the mirror, so, it sounds interesting. My only issue being completely honest is placing a third party item up against the beautiful KTM frame and securing it with cable ties makes me concerned!!!! Dave

yes, I think thats a fair assessment. Its a compromise certainly, I've never seen on in the flesh, but wanted to show there are options out there.

The other option is to undo the lock on clamps on the grips, and then tap the end with a rubber mallet until the handlebar pushes though the end of the grip. This will give you a nice neat hole though which to fit one the many bar end mounted mirrors.

I fit bar end mirrors to all of my bikes because I'm now too old and too fat to twist round as easily as I used too..

I've tried many "cycle" supplier mirrors and found them either to be very expensive or fragile, or both.

I then bought a pair of very cheap motorcycle bar end mirrors via ebay, and they've proved to be the best solution for me. Sturdy but very light and small, cheap, no plastic, and versatile mounting.

I've now got one fitted on the right side of all my bikes. Best of all, they're very cheap, less than £10 a pair, delivered from UK sellers. Even though they're "handed" left and right, I found that I can use them either way round, so one pair serves two bikes, both on the right.

The mounting has two options, either an expanding alloy insert, or that can be removed and the clamp fits over the last 12mm of bar.

This photo shows them on some of my bikes, including the Trance, which has upright bar ends clamped on as well.

There's loads of ebay sellers for them, like this UK one, or you can buy via china for a few quid less, but then face a three week wait. (This one even does "click and collect" via an argos store).

Homer and Col, thanks very much for the replies, appreciated.
The issue with my set up is there is no hole at the end of my handlebar as the Ergon GP3 end grips occupy that hole and are integrated with the handlebar grips beautifully, so, I cannot use those as it is already utilised.
Col, hopefully you will have a bike in the office where you can see what I mean so the tap with a mallet idea is not an option for me I am afraid.
I am looking into helmet mirrors now, not ideal but the only other option I am afraid.

Thats handy because if you turn to look behind you then you can still see in front as well
I have bar end mirrors on both mine and would not ride without one now.
Twice I have been able to take avoiding action when cars were getting too close.
