Might have messed up my PAS sensor

Hi all,

I was trying to fit my PAS sensor and I filed the inside of the grippers to make it fit on the BB axle.

It fit much better now but I think it is skipping now and again as the bike loses power intermittently.

The sensor is a KT-12L

Is there a way to glue it to the axle or do I simply need to buy a new one?

Best regards

The inner part grips the BB axle so should rotate, however the outer body needs to remain stationary. One could try using a sealant carefully to stick it to the BB, however unless clean from grease grime may not work very well.
A new one is likely best option.

Thank you for replying,

What type of sealant would work? Silicone or some kind of glue?

I suppose a new sensor is a good idea to get. Are the two-piece ones on eBay fairly universal you think?

The two piece PAS sensor are all I use, never yet had one fail on me. Yes they are all three wires so will work if wired up correctly.
