We've not long got back from our bank holiday Jaunt to the Peak District where we cycled the Manifold Trail on our electric bikes. I've had my Kalkhoff for nearly a year and a half now and covered around 3500 miles mainly commuting to work. Some here were pessimistic about it's longevity as it does have the much discredited Impulse2 motor however whilst not wishing to tempt fate its been great so far 
We bought Nikki a front wheel drive shopper type bike whilst in Hereford a few weeks back as she struggles with an ordinary bike nowadays due to health problems. I must say these electric bikes are one of the best investments we've made. This sort of day out would be an impossibility without them (or I'd have to go on my own).
