Make my bike seat cover nicer

Featured Replies

Hello all

I'm progressing with my bike and I decided to add some memory foam to have a more comfy ride for me and my passengers:

I've added my nice black tarpaulin on top to cover it and make it waterproof:

However, now the bike seat doesn't look very nice. Looks like someone wrapped some stuff inside.

How can I create a nicer feel? If I change to see faux leather would that look better?

I nice retro look would be good!

Thanks

Is it better to completely remove what I've already done? I thought my seat isn't too bad. It just need a cover. Maybe not replacing the whole seat?

It looks fine to me. Just cover it with some faux leather, like a chopper seat. :)

My grandson's seat on his balance bike has to much padding he couldn't get his leg over the seat or touch the floor. I took the padding out of an old seat and covered with faux leather. I used the two part epoxy resin from poundland. You will need to get a smoother finish on your foam or the shape will show through the faux leather. Maybe use a bread knife to shape the foam.7b249a38d78ebc806d3791bbb453b77b.jpg
