Loose and noisy crank

Hi, my pedal crank has just become noisy and is making what I can only describe as a purring noise when I am pedalling. I will get that seen to. but I am also experiencing a momentary cut-out of power when pedalling. I am guessing, but if my pedal power is not smooth due to a loose crank, then will this affect the smooth power delivery from the battery to the motor? I bear in mind that when in pedal-assist mode, power is delivered when I pedal, and that of course may not be perfect at the moment. I ride a Powacycle Salisbury and have had it a year. Battery is fully-charged and seems fine.

If the bottom bracket is worn it's likely that the magnets are moving away from the sensor and cutting the power, new bottom bracket and magnet ring reset should hopefully solve your problem.

If you have a 1 piece crank then it likely has just worked loose, relube and clean replace bearings if worn out then tighten it back up.

If you need grease then I tend to use this stuff, upto you really just remember to get bearing grease and not chain grease as it is thicker stuff.

3 piece are a bit you put in that comes sealed. Not very expensive in parts but you can need some nifty tools to get the bracket out, depending on what make depends on the tool shapes.

Thanks Guys, getting it seen to today. When I use throttle only without pedalling, there is no cut-out and the ride is smooth. Got to be related to the crank. Cheers.
