Looking for advice

Hello all

A freind has a Haibike S Duro Hardseven 4.0 2019 and the back wheel needs replacing, its 27.5 with disc and already have cassette if needed. Can someone reccomend a good one in uk that would work? The bearings on the hub seem worn, the rims are done in a bit, and its got a bit of life left in it before buying a new one (which ill also need reccomendations for but thats for another post) so ill replace them the wheel and see how it does. Can someone reccomend a good back wheel that will work with this bike?

general a 2 b, some offroad at times. general mountain bike stuff but nothing crazy.

The axle type is what matters because that must match the frame.

Worth looking at what hub it has: many hubs have standard bearings these days, if that is the main fault then no need for a new wheel. Fairly easy to replace.

I changed my rims easily enough by using same make, so same spoke length was fine. Changed spokes as well, and built wheels which was not hard.

current hub is 'haibike components the hub+' but im not sure on the 2 options to choose from on that for hub and axel type, i think i need HG for option 1 and QR for 2

Ok, HG is the normal common Shimano splines for the cassette. The most likely option. If any remaining doubt, check the model of cassette currently fitted.

QR is a bog standard quick release wheel. You need to check the existing frame and axle to be sure.

If it is QR, then any bog standard 27.5 QR disc wheel will do as a stopgap.
