Hi. I have had Pro Connect 10 for nearly a year. Had the motor changed at just over 1000 miles by 50 Cycles! No charge but a worry. I'm quite a strong cyclist so now just use it in Eco (on the basis this puts less strain on the motor). Did get around 70/80 miles from the battery but this has reduced to around 65. Weirdly battery seemed to drop in performance after I took it in for new motor. Generally very well built bike and it I get at least 60 miles I'm happy.

Thanks for that Roger.50 cycles first said the issues where due to a software update and yesterday I was told it was due to selectors sticking due to grease.i tested a agguta yesterday the motor seemed ok but the bike was very heavy.Does your bike run ok on flat without assistance. And what did they tell you about motor failure.

I don't think the motor problems are linked to either of those two things. I have posted a few YouTube videos that are linked off the discussions on this in this forum. Re performance on the flat it is very good. My bike is very heavy, often with two laden panniers and I can ride easily on the flat with no motor. Does help a lot with inclines and head wind though. I also have the 10 speed model which is useful

Everyone naturally wants to know what the range is - but there is no answer! It depends on your style of riding, your weight, your frontal area, how hilly the area is where you cycle, how much power you use. I have done 75 miles on mine and had power left, but I have also done 25 miles and flattened the battery. if you are cycling on the flat you can turn the power off and cycle forever! I know this is not what you want to hear, but its the truth.
I am by the way delighted with my Kalkhoff!
