Lith/Moly grease in BBS01/02 secondary drive?

Hi,
Question about Bafang BBS mid-drives.
Does anybody add a little extra lith/moly grease to the secondary drive cogs (accessible by removing the chainring, the 5 or 8 crosshead screws and removing the cover)?
Cheers
Darren

Mobilgrease 28 is the correct grease for this.
DONT use moly grease as,if it gets through to the nylon gear, it will degrade it.

Yes, I have seen this.
Any local reports on nylon gear failure degeneration as a consequence of seepage through the bearing? And millage if possible please?
My original bbs had lith/moly cv grease refreshed regularly and is still going strong at nearly 5000 miles.
Mobilgrease 28 is apparently the best stuff.
Thanks kinninvie

I have seen a few links here recommending lith/moly grease for such purposes.
Below is the list of recommended grease/lubricant etc. used in the Bafang motors at factory:
Bafang has advised the following greases are applied during assembly to Bafang units:-

Bearing grease - Unical Lithium grease No 2. This grease is applied to the thrust and needle bearings contained in the BB.

Plastic gear grease - Unical Aviation Synthetic Grease AG-11. A white lithium grease is used between the motor shaft and the nylon helical gear.

Metal gear grease (Black)- HCF Lubrications Technology Co Ltd's MG - 2A grease. This is situated on the large reduction gear and the small metal transfer gear. This should be periodically replaced, given grit can get into this area and grind on these gears.

Metal gear grease (white) - Unical Polybear Grease BLD 227B. From correspondence issued by Bafang, it is unclear where this lubricant is used.

Bafang have acknowledged that these greases are unlikely to be available locally and have advised to use Shimano substitutes where possible.

Other disposables used in construction:-

Blue loctite - application to various bolts and the end of the motor shaft.

White sealant - This is used where wiring crossing between the two sides of the motor. This only requires servicing where the motor has been disassembled.

This list may have already been posted (I couldn't find) but prevention is certainly better than cure and all that...

Some of the recommended greases are rather difficult to procure in small quantities as discovered above. Reasonably easy to acquire, thus the substitute for secondary gear top up, the Mobilgrease 28 is available here for £16.06 for 390 gram tube. :)
