Had my Carrera hybrid, with an e kit fitted for a couple of years now and I've been pretty happy with it. But I've decided to get another Ebike and a ready made one.
As I shall keep the Carrera for canal paths, cycle tracks and general shopping trips to town...... I thought I would get an Ebike for road only trips. I don't need suspension and want more range than I have at the moment. I would like under 20 kilos and it must have a throttle.
I quite like the look of the Woosh Karoo...... anything else out there that would compare to this ?

Thanks.

Conversion yes, not that I can find among the ready builts. Its electrics is similar to the Boardman that d8veh converted with the Oxygen 13AH kit for the Gadget Show.

Did d8veh start a thread on here about this Boardman bike & Oxygen kit conversion ?
I'd quite like to read it.

Oh the joys of using a mobile app to access the forum. Sorry about that - the proper link is http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/bbs01-cube-sl-road-pro-conversion-and-long-distance-commuting.20706/ .

Interesting thread and the bike looks great..... but i didn't really want to go down the route of a kit build again. Also i need a throttle so its going to have to be a hub motor, i also want the battery in the frame and not over the back wheel. Although i may change my mind on not building if i cant find what i want ready built.
At the moment i cant find anything comparable to the Woosh Karoo.... The Cytronex bikes are sort of comparable as lightweight road ebikes, but they dont have the range i want with their small batteries. Also i think they are well overpriced for what you get.

Yes, fair enough if you don't want to do a kit build again. The battery position was purely my choice for a stealthy build - it would have been easier to use one of the standard batteries available for down-tube mount.

You don't necessarily need a hub motor for throttle though. The BBS01 crank drive comes with a fully operational throttle - I just chose to take it off after the first ride.

I went the kit build route because I could build a bike that met my particular needs for about half the price of purchasing ready-built. German-built bike, crank drive, no suspension and lightweight! Plus I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Yam dude....I saw a bike at Eurobike named the Coboc ,in my opinion it is a bit expensive but worth a glance.... KudosDave
Just googled it to check it out..... unfortunately battery isn't big enough and at over £3K its way too much coin for me.

Ah, i stand corrected about a throttle with a CD motor then. If i change my mind about a build i'll take another look at that BBS01 CD.
Thanks.
