Lights output from 09 bottle battery controller

Featured Replies

Today's question:

Does the 09 bottle battery controller have a connection for lights, 36 V or 6 V I don't mind either? I.e. one that would turn the lights on from the LCD-3 button press.

You can plug 36v lights into the charge socket, or you can use the USB socket, which gives 5v up to maybe 1 amp.

Some of the Banggood ones have a built in dc/dc converter, so can run off any voltage from 8v to 85v, which makes them perfect for ebikes. Just add a connector to plug into your charge socket if you don't want to wire them into the battery output.

See my thread on endless-sphere: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=79763. If you do some testing you may be able to find a lights output on your controller. You would then need to connect it to a fet or transistor.

Looking at one of d8veh's photos of the 09 bottle battery controller there's a 4 pin port next to the large resistor which looks like it might be for the lights.
