Only give it a few hours to get up to temperature and dry out first, then a full charge and revert to normal usage. Despite cool storage, it will have lost some capacity, though not as much as it would have if kept in warmer conditions.
I follow this procedure when bringing my laptop battery out of clingfilm wrapped fridge storage for use and it's always been successful.
WHat condition your battery will be in will depend on the storage conditions, whether it was part or full charged when stored, the temperatures during storage, and the length of time since last charge.
