LCD on, but no power from motor

Bike is a Woosh Santana, rear wheel motor, modified (by supplier at purpose) to have a torque sensor rather than cadence.
As the rear rim had worn I recently had the rear wheel rebuilt with a new rim, transferring the motor into it.
Everything worked fine for the first trip out of a few miles to work.
When coming home, although the LCD can be turned on fine, no assistance was provided by the motor at any power rating - and when I got home the LCD showed the battery on as many bars as when I set out. The cable from the motor (which had to be disconnected to get the wheel off) remains firmly plugged into the next cable so doesn't look like a loose connection.
Any suggestions please, other than return it to the local bike shop who rebuilt the wheel?

Thanks but no difference - it is in as far as it can go. And I checked the power settings on the LCD control just in case someone had been tempted to fiddle with them though can't see how anyone could have done - each level of power has an incremental increase.
