Laptop replacement batteries

I wonder if anyone can recommend a reliable supplier of decent quality replacement laptop batteries?
I have an Acer 5750 Laptop which is beginning to run the battery down a bit quick and am finding quite a minefield when looking for a good quality replacement battery.
"Genuine replacement" seems to have a very loose meaning and the official Acer site links to a non genuine product.
Prices seem to range from £10 to £75 for what in appearance could be the same battery and I'm not sure high price will be an indication of better quality though I'm sure a very low price will indicate poor quality.
So far the most encouraging I've found is

They do say they use Samsung or Panasonic cells but I guess I won't know that for sure.
Any advice would be very welcome.

A bit out of date Dave, but I bought a replacement battery for an old Acer laptop some years ago. When it arrived, it was manufactured at the same time as the original, according to markings on it!. It didn't significantly improve the life expectancy of the laptop. It might be better to look for someone who re-cells your existing battery. HTH

ps As an aside, after the laptop ceased to be effectively portable, I replaced it. Rather than throw it away, I 'tinkered' with it, and installed Ubuntu rather than XP, which it originally ran with.
From pretty much the first charge running Ubuntu, battery life improved markedly - up to an hour, rather then 5-10 minutes when running Windows. I think a large part of the failure of the battery was down to the poor software implemented by Microsh!te to monitor battery life

My Lenovo has a half charged battery management system to extend the life of the battery when continuously plugged into the mains. This works as two previous machines of the same age, one dies within minutes of disconnecting, the other will work months later.
One was permantly plugged in, the other only to charge when flattened.

Thanks for the replys, I do have an older laptop which dual boots XP and Linux Mint and solely used Linux for about 4 years until I bought two new computers with windows 7 which for me is the best Microsoft operating system to date and now I rarely use Linux though I may well return to it in the future.
The Acer battery is almost 3 years old and used to give me 4/5 hours but is now down to about 2 hours.
Soon be time for a change as I use it on battery most days and now recharge daily.
Here in the Highlands I might struggle to find someone to re-cell so I may have to take a punt on the one in the link.

My Samsung laptop battery is on its way out and I'm going to buy a replacement from Duracell Direct soon.
Unfortunately, I can't vouch for them as I haven't purchased from them before, but you can't go wrong with Duracell

Just an update, I went for the 6 cell battery from

in the end.
Now back to 4/5 hours of use as per original.
It came super fast and seems well made, I guess time will tell.
