KZQW22A Controller tweak?

Hi folks,

I have bought a second-hand E-Bike a 24V Dawes Boost City. It has a KZQW22A controller in it. All works well, except that the maximum speed is set to 13.4 instead of the legal maximum. I am wondering if there is anything I can do to nudge it up to the max.

The manufacturer's website says this unit is programmable, but they will not speak to me and there is no useful information on their site.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

That ID doesn't mean anything. Show us a picture of it that clearly shows every connector.

For some reason most of the information on it is in German, but I've translated entire websites and still no answers to the questions I'm asking.

Is that the same as your controller because it's a KT controller that should have a designation starting with KT?

Also, the control panel on the Dawes boost doesn't look like a KT.

It does very much look like a KT model, though no speed restricion wires noticeable. The model prefix isn't readable due to pic clarity.
Bremsen = Brakes
Gas regler = Throttle
Lichmodul = Lights.
Does the bike have LED or LCD panel, LCD panel will possibly allow possible speed increase.

He's just being lazy like the rest of them. He has a Tongsheng controller that's completely different to that photo. They want us to write pages and pages, but they can't even be bothered to take a photo.

I googled the part, I saw the image, it looks like mine, and I sent you the picture. As you say, it is the wrong controller. But I tell you what, d8 - don't trouble yourself - the love is just too overwhelming.

Have a nice evening.

I knew the pic was different from what Chris posted about as there are a few threads on Pedelec.de forum which I peruse and the Tongsheng has a different shape to it.
The KZQW22A is as d8veh says a MIFA Tongsheng used a lot in Germany on various Chinese hub branded bikes, hence why I asked for Weblink .
High probability is that LCD is needed to access any settings unless genuine pics of the real thing are posted.

Shame you feel that way, you ask for help and post an image that isn't the same controller.
It doesn't help us much as controllers from different manufacturers are all configured a bit different some are easier to mod or hack then others, the only one who looses out is you as you are stuck with 13.4 mph whilst the rest of us are happily swanning around at 19/22 mph.
