Up for sale is my Kudos Tornado.

I bought this 2nd hand about 18 months ago. It had a fault with the controller, so I changed the controller and display for an S09P and S-LCD3. The Controller is currently set to 11amps maximum, but can be configured tor 22amps. Likewise, although the battery is 36V, my understanding is that the controller / display are dual 36/48v capable.

The bike has the original Bafang SWX motor which provides plenty of power to get you up the hills.

The bike has probably done around 2000 miles in total and is still on the original battery which is probably good for about 25 miles now.

The first owner had used it off road in the woods - consequently the farme has a lot of chips on it - this is not a "show bike". The brake pads are also low and one of the brake cables is frayed.

I am looking for a price which I feel is fair - this would make a good first ebike or wet weather commuter (which is what I used it for in order to keep my Mid-Drive bike dry).

The bike is located around 10 miles south of Bath in the West Country. I work in Pill which is just off the M5 so am happy to show the bike there too.

Hi I’m quite interested, how much do replacement batteries cost, and is the range listed in ‘Bath’ miles ?

Hi Adam.

Replacement batteries are around £190 including a new charger and the like from sellers on ebay. This is basically a "generic" Chinese set up, which means you can buy a standard battery and plug it in - spend more and get more capacity.

I know what you are saying with "Bath Miles!". Range will depend in part on your weight and how much effort you are prepared to put in. I used to commute on this when I lived and was working in Bristol - I would get 2 days of commuting which is total mileage of 28miles, but that is flat miles, not Bath miles! I am happy for you to come and give it a proper try if you want - happy for you to do a 20 mile route for a couple of hours if you leave some collateral to see if you get on with it.

I work as a a food courier so would be looking to get a second battery anyway as a shift is usually around 40km+ with a couple of trips up to Fox hill . I’m light and a relatively strong cyclist.
Where are you based ?
I’m 10miles south east if Bath ( Boa)
