Help! We have a pair of Safaris one of which suffers intermittent loss of power coupled with severe vibration - like one motor phase is cutting out. By swapping wheels and controllers across the bikes we have narrowed this down to a controller fault, the Bafang brushless motors and bike wiring are OK. The problem now is sourcing a new compatible controller. Kudos are (not for the first time) not responding to queries. They advertise several spare controllers but none for the Safari, and in any case they say phone to order and their phone is on a lockdown recorded message. If we are patient the Kudos Duke controller may be compatible, the only obvious difference is that the Duke has no thumb throttle though it's possible there is an unused controller connection for it. Can anyone offer other ideas? The existing controller is an lsdzs LSW881 rated 36v 15A which has the usual battery, motor and hall feedback connections and connects with a 790 control/display, throttle (1.2 to 4.4v), crank sensor and brakes. There are hundreds of controllers on eBay etc. but none seem to be exactly right. Any suggestions gratefully received. David.
