I received the KU65 controller from BMS battery and the label on the controller has the following details

KU65 High Speed Controller
For 36v battery
Over current : 30A
LVC: 27.5
For hall sensor motor
For sensorless motor

What does it mean by over current? I thought the discharge current for this controller is around 15A.

Thanks
Pat

Not sure but the phase current can be 2x the battery current so perhaps this is what they mean, a limit on the phase current the motor 'sees'. The LVC seems a little low normally its around 31.5v +/- 0.5v

The temperature control circuit sometimes shuts them down at 15 amps, so I don' believe that they could take 30 amps. That must be a mistake on the label.
