Have been test riding these bikes at the London Electric Bike Companycant chose between them. They both have same sort of spec, the Rapide seems the quicker and it can be derestricted but KTM has better name from my bike days. The Rapide is the smoother ride but that maybe the tires. There is 700 diff in price, seems a Lot to pay. Could you good guys look at the specs and see if it's worth pay 700 more.

The KTM has a usefully bigger battery, or it would have if you will make use of the extra range.

Having said that, you could buy a second battery for the Kudos for a lot less than the price difference.

Kudos are moving up in the quality stakes but keeping some budget pricing. That's got to be good for buyers

They are two similar style bikes, but and this is no disrespect to the Kudos, I'd suggest the details of the spec aren't that similar, as you'd expect from two bikes that are in different price categories.

Just some reasons why the KTM is more.

As has been highlighted, the battery is much bigger.
The KTM has some Deore XT spec, not just Deore,
The KTM is about 2kg lighter, even with the bigger battery.
The KTM has a suspension seatpost,
The KTM is fitted with Schwable Marathon tyres, which are recognised as being market leaders.

There are lots of other details, including SKS mudguards and B+M lights that all add to the costs of the KTM when compared to the Kudos. Both great bikes, but there are good reasons why the KTM is more.

The KTM is also produced in 5 different sizes, not the one size fits all that the Kudos is.

I'm not saying one is better than the other for you, because whether these things are worth the updgrade cost to you is something only you can decide.

The Kudos Rapide and it's step thru equivalent the Sonata were not a price driven product, the product selection was based upon our experience of what is the best available. I am currently considering Kudos 2016 models,at this time I cannot improve on the specification of those 2 bikes.

You fibber. You could improve on the spec.
Rohloff hub, Simano duro Ace,carbon fiber frame, brooks saddle, etc.
It might affect the price a little though.;)
