Just trying to get my head round the way my display shows brake on/off. The ubiquitous LCD5 display has a brake activity icon - how is this controlled? Does the signal come from a wired sensor / magnet combination, added to the back brake lever?

When a connected brake switch is on, power is cut and the symbol appears on the display.
The switch works by shorting the brake signal wire to ground.
