Hi
i have a Woosh Big Bear which I love and it has the King Meter J-LCD controller/display.
I changed the battery today (CR2032) which is for the memory on the clock but now the controller it totally dead, will not switch on at all.
I have checked the fuse in the battery and it is fine so it’s not that. I have also checked the wiring around the controller and it seems fine.
Totally baffled with this, how can changing a tiny button battery cause the controller to shut down? Could I have shorted the system somehow?
Any help would be really appreciated before I drop it off at the shop and no doubt face a massive bill!
Many Thanks

Are you 100% sure the battery is the right way up, and that there wasn't any sort of protective tab on it you need to peel off?

Did you plug the display back in correctly ?

The battery is the right way up, in fact we have put the original battery back in as it still had a little life in it, which makes it even more baffling that it’s now not working.
I never unplugged the display.

New battery is duff or wrong voltage.

Thanks, but I have put the original CR2032 back in and still nothing. Are they not all the same?

The coin battery is only needed for keeping the time. You don't need it to ride the bike. The LCD could be damaged but do a few checks first.

- unplug the LCD and check the 5 pins on the LCD. Reconnect.

If you have a multitester:

- check the battery's voltage.

Let us know the result.

I think best to borrow a J-LCD and a 4 in 1 waterproof cable.
Please email support@wooshbikes.co.uk - Andy will help you.
