Kalkhoff Tasman 1 year on

Hi all It is just about a year since I purchased my Kalkhoff Tasman from 50 Cycles. It has been a great year of cycling for me. I have done over 1,200 miles and still have a year on my warranty. It has saved a fortune in parking charges in Cambridge. I like having hub gears. The dynamo lights are brilliant. Battery (11 not 15 or 17) goes 40 miles and I am no small chap. The only thing that has spoiled my riding was people on this forum telling me it would not last long before I would get a motor failure! It has never missed a beat. Please try not to spoil it for people when they have already purchased the product. Thanks 50 cycles I made a great purchase. Nigel

Please be honest to yourself before you post and refer to my original note to you and ask yourself why you have to be so negative about everything. I think you are just showing your true colours. Self proclaimed 'Nice Bloke'. Jealousy is a strong emotion that manifests in many forms. It is not good or healthy to hold so much anger in your heart. Probably best you take a ride on your washing machine bike and get over yourself.

There's nothing dishonest about asking someone to let you know when their bike breaks down, especially when it's relatively likely according to many reports about problems with Kalkhoff bikes.

You can say what you want about me. It's water off a ducks back. AFAICS, you're the one that is being dishonest. I believe that you still haven't told people here the full story and the truth about all your defective motors. Have a read of the German forums and see if your story ties up.
