Hello All,

A little while ago I had 'Push Assistance' fitted to my Pro Connect. It came in very handy on some of the very steep hills in North Devon, most of them I managed to ride but on some I had to get off and push.

My question is - would it be possible to 'fix' push assistance to give more speed? It will pull you along sitting on it at walking pace (on level ground). I have started to see the attraction in being powered along when feeling tired.

Hi Rob.

Because of it's higher gearing the Pro Connect S does 11mph on throttle only!..... Unfortunately it wont pull up any sort of incline on throttle only with you on board.

So although the throttle lever fitted is very useful when when walking the bike up steep inclines it doesn't have the power to be of any use for normal riding.

As far as I know there's no way of altering the electrics to give higher power using the throttle.

As Kenny says, it can't be altered. The throttle just bypasses the pedal rotation sensing but still has the torque sensing in circuit, so without pedal pressure the power is minimal.
