Kalkhoff Pro Connect Disc spotted in Heanor Derbyshire

I'm turning into an electric bike anorak. I drove into work this morning and at 07:33 spotted someone on a Kalkhoff Pro Connect Disc cycling past Heanor Market Place. And very nice it looked too.

Was it anyone on here? If so I'm sorry if I embarrassed you when I wound my window down and shouted, "Is that an electric bike? I own one too, so will you be my friend?"

I shouted it for the benefit of my passenger. She thinks I'm a complete nerd and I didn't want to dispel the impression she has of me.

I'm exactly the same ! Always looking for a chunky hub, slab of lithium, feet freewheeling backwards uphill, or the reassuring flicker of a tell-tale LED !

The other day I saw a huge guy on a wisper smoking a fag and making a very lazy effort at pedalling. A poster boy for the 'Why Not Just Get A Moped' dimwits..though I suppose it's trickier to smoke through a helmet

Hey, at least he was pedaling and only polluting the atmosphere with his ciggy smoke!

Yes, so true David The Wisper cut an impressive sight as it handled his over-generous proportions with ease ! Could have been smoking a pipe in his favourite armchair... He looked a satisfied customer as I pulled a wide one round him.
