Hopefully your battery is behaving itself now.
I put mine on charge at 10pm last night and initially there was one light flashing.
I expected it to be still charging when I got up at 7 but all the lights were out just as you would expect with the 10ah battery.
When I press the button all seems well with all 5 lights coming on.
Can't wait to try it out and condition it. Unfortunately it's a dreich day up here and the forecast for the next few days doesn't look too good, so it'll have to wait for now.

Hi Kenny,

I'm thinking it would have been better to leave my own battery on the charger until all lights went out, it didn't take kindly to being removed during the Constant Voltage balancing phase.

My battery came but damaged in transit,now waiting for a new one. Hopefully you guinea pigs will have it all sorted then i know which procedure to follow when it arrives !

Sorry to hear that carpetbagger, I'm not surprised, just a single layer of bubble-wrap is not a good idea where the 'dynamite' boys are involved.

Must say I was surprised when mine arrive with only a few layers of bubble wrap for protection.
I would have at least expected it to be in a stout box.
With poor packaging like that all it takes is one careless handler for damage to occur.

Right, having tested a few batteries myself, the manual should give the same instructions for the 18Ah batteries as all the others - continue charging until the LEDs are no longer lit. I hope that removes any uncertainty.
