Kalkhoff Agattu Impulse 8

We have just bought a pair of new Kalkhoff bikes and have our old ones for sale.

2 x Kalkhoff Agattu Impulse 8 step thru medium frames bought new from 50 Cycles April 2012.
2 x 15 Ah batteries both showing 5 lights .
2 x battery chargers.
Both fitted with Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres.
Both serviced by 50 Cycles in Oct 2015.

Bike 1
Shows usual signs of use with slight scratches and cosmetic blemishes.
Rides very well with no noises from motor or gears.

Bike 2
Shows usual signs of use with slight scratches and cosmetic blemishes.
Was fitted with recon Impulse 2 motor by 50 Cycles in Oct 2015.
Motor and or speed sensor has just developed intermittent fault , motor cut in and out.
50 Cycles diagnosis over the phone is a probable speed sensor problem.
However if it is the motor a new Impulse 2 could be fitted for £600 with 2 years warranty.

I would prefer to sell both bikes together but am open to any sensible suggestions or offers.

You may get more interest if you give an indication of price.

Lots of horror stories about the Impulse motor on here, so you might do better advertising the bikes elsewhere.

Your very fair description of bike two makes that one particularly difficult.

My rough guess is bike one might sell for £1,000, maybe a bit less.

A buyer for bike two might reasonably want to deduct the cost of a motor, with another possible deduction for battery wear in the background.

That doesn't leave a lot for you.

By the way, the front tyre of one of the bikes appears to be fitted the wrong way around.

With a V-shaped tread, the point of the V should be pointing forward when viewing the top of the tyre from the saddle.

Not that it makes a great deal of difference.
