Retired guy used to motorcycling now settled for a ebike.
Never could afford models sold in Halford so bought one from China for a grand, sent via Poland so no tax paid.
Just a foldable mountain ebike with 26" by 4" wide fat tyres.
48V 12.8 AH battery
Done about 200 km so far as the battery seems to last around 50km.

Amazon sell it. The lowest price I found is £1398. Ordered via China is about £1100 (with delivery from Poland so EU tax paid). Ordered on 25Feb and wrote feedback on 6 Mar so took about 10 days. EU delivery is 5 to 7 days but it took a few days to get the order through. Accessories are also cheap from China. Had ordered 2 sets of 26"x4"(inner tube plus outer tyre for each set) for £97 and a second 48V 12.8AH battery for £206. The accessories have not been delivered yet and import tax may inccur.
The ebike and battery were ordered directly from Sheng Milo official store but the tyres were from a different supplier because the prices were cheaper using a non-stock tyre but same size.
