Juicy Sport 2010 review

Folks,

Thought I'd pop together a review of my new bike. I mainly gave it the thumbs up, and have put together a niggles list that I am sure Bob and co will be pleased to look at. I don't remember seeing a good set of photos before I went to see it, so I've posted a gallery. Trust it is useful, and if anyone is considering this brand I should be pleased to offer an unbiased view.

For the price imho its an ok bike. You are never going to get lower than 20-26 kgs at that price, you get what you pay for.Your report was good though thanks.According to David at Wisper ,in a previous thread he said that the same bikes were available under two other brand names derived from the same factory

Thanks Jon for a comprehensive review of the 2010 Sport.

The Juicy Sport is not available under any other brand though, even though the same factory does produce bikes for one other UK brand, as David rightly spotted.
The New 2011 Sport is a further upgrade to a design that is well proved, with new frame tweaks and new battery, much improved battery lock and housing, added 4X LED front lights, full ali mudguards, with many improved components all round... ...but it does cost a little more!

Still excellent value, I hope folk will agree. All honest reviews welcomed.

Thanks again Jon!

Hi Bob

I recommended someone look at your bikes last week on the forum as I beleive they are good value for money, I also thought they were the same bikes as sold by Bear Brand and FreeGo. This particular enquirer was looking at FreeGo so I suggested they look at your bikes too.

Please accept my apologies if this is not the case.

Best regards

David

No problem David, and thanks for the feedback.
We actually use 3 factories and one of those does produce also for FreeGo, who in turn do market a bike very similar to our own Urban 20" Folder.

I met the FreeGo quality controller on my last visit and it's clear to me they are very serious about quality and value. Whilst not in Wispers league David, there being a clear step difference in component quality and support level, I believe FreeGo have made a good choice for their main suppier.

Working conditions there are also excellent which is high on our own selection criteria.

Best regards, Bob
