A bike is good, but a motorcycle is the best thing I've tried. Of course, while you are young and nothing hurts, you can get involved in cycling, but only a motorcycle can satisfy a senior rider when you are over sixty years old. I have great friends on the site riderly.com who will always provide me with such a horse that you can only dream of. Not once in my travels have they let me down. I welcome your promotion to a healthy lifestyle, sell bicycles, accessories for them, but get carried away and be tempted by big motorcycles. Only on a bike will you forget about everything in the world.

I completely disagree. I'm 68 and I've been a motorcylist since 16. In my 30s and 40s, I used to ride about 40,000 miles a year on every type of motorcycle from mopeds to hyper-sports bikes. I've never had fewer than three motorcycles since the 1970s. I started riding electric bikes 11 years ago. Since then, they have been my preferred mode of transport for all journeys up to around 30 miles.

Cycling keeeps you young and healthy. A 70 year old cylist has an immune system comparable with a 20 year old non-cyclist. The constant pedalling with some effort is like running: It releases endorphins in the brain to give you a feeling of well-being that you can't get on a motorcycle.
