Hi
I run a 2008 easy glider
Having erratic probs with the handle bar switch and power level selection
Could it be the connection into the motor, Im advised by gazelle in holland might need to remove motor to get to connections from the handlel bar control unit to check them is this true? Anyone done this before

The connections from the handlebar unit to the Panasonic power unit are external to the unit but beneath any plastic cowlings. If you have a look at the wiring loom picture below, the three connectors at top left are the external ones of the power unit, one or more in use on your bike. The connector at lower left is the battery platform. The square rubber grommet in the centre is where it enters the unit and the connectors at the right are those on the inside of the power unit.

So if there's a connection problem, most likely is an external one you can easily get at. If an internal connection problem (unlikely) it means stripping the unit. My Panasonic support site gives all the details for that. Yours is the new unit, but refer to the old unit details for the initial stripping:
