International Shipping

International orders ship just as fast as US orders, however, they may be subject to customs/dutys/taxes when they come into your country

Hi keith, welcome to the community.

It looks like your combined throttle/battery monitor/switch is discontinued but the link below offers a solution of two replacement parts the throttle and a separate switch. They appear to be in stock but being in the USA you will have to register to see if they will ship to the UK.

Thanks for the reply, this is my first repair on an electric bicycle. I have spend the last 2 days on the tinternet going round in circles. I kinda thought they might be discontinued. I,ll look at your suggestion. I thought of 2 other solutions. 1. replace the twist grip throttle along with the electronic control box (approx. $90). 2. buy a 5 pin socket twist grip throttle, then try to work out the wiring for the LEDs and variable resistor. The throttle I have does not have a switch, just the battery LEDs and the twist resistor.

Thanks for the reply. I have ordered tools from US previously, I don't think the import charges are high for low value items.

It sounds as if the throttle has been replaced before as the original one for this model had 7 wires going to it , 3 for the throttle, 2 for the battery indicator and 2 for the speed control selector push button (which switched between throttle twist and go TAG or pedal assist sensor PAS)

If you only want throttle then you do not need the switch but can permanently wire for throttle only, either open circuit or closed circuit, using the 2 wires mentioned above. I am afraid I don't know which combination you need as I have never seen your bike in the flesh.

A word of warning though the 2 wires for the battery indicator carry the full battery voltage if you were to inadvertently short them together you could seriously harm yourself and the wiring.

I suggest to post a picture here so that we can see what form of speed controls you have on your bike

Meanwhile here is a link to an izip manual:

thanks for the reply. the bike may even be older. the friend who dropped them off to me brought the "his & her" IZIP mountain trailz AL. both have the same throttle, so I have to assume they were original to both bikes. i'll post a picture later on. the throttle don't resemble the ones on the link you sent.

Yep, cheers. That's the one I thought to swap both the throttle & controller. It is the 24v 25a one :) i,ll need to check the battery & motor connection to the controller.
I,ll maybes get a full day tomorrow to look at it. The problem is that 2 wires have been pulled out of the throttle body. Space is tight to try to resolder the wires back on.
