I wondered whether you meant that one when you first posted BBB, hence my remarking on what I'd found on Moore Large links.
We've seen and discussed it before, but know little about it except that it's a rather high price for what it appears to be. Years ago the Currie brand split into two branches, and I suspect this is nothing to do with the original US brand, and it seems to be China sourced.
Looks to have some connection with the Sparta Ion design in having the virtually identical frame tube battery, complete with not being able to have two batteries for instant turn round or longer trips. That's a big disadvantage for many, large numbers of us being two battery users.
As you know, after 12 to 24 months on NiMh, battery range can reduce quite a lot and make many commutes impossible without a second battery, or the high expense of buying a new battery and scrapping the a pefectly good, if shorter range one. I don't suppose that will be a problem on 9 mile by 4 mile Guernsey though!
P.S. The traditional Curries no longer use Currie motors, despite their advertising. For some while they've used the Unite motor which they buy in. Here it is on a
supplier's site.
I don't know if Unite products are also used in the hub motor version.
